What is up all!
So things have been busy lately, with school and homework as well as a bit of Hands On Tokyo work (more tomorrow too, yay). Japanese classes are going well! I’ll be able to speak fluently… someday! Yay! I found out today that the literal translation of, “gochisosama deshita” (what you say after a meal) is, “That feast was brighter than the sun.” Japanese is so sweet. Also, when you say someones name and add ‘san’ at the end you are saying they are very bright and is considered very polite. Adding ‘sama’ at the end instead literally means you are saying that the brighter than the sun to you, and is extremely polite and expresses great honor.
Okay, here’s the after Japanese lessons vlog:
Btw, at the end there I say, “mo ichido onagishimasu” and it means one more time please.
I got to the Buddha, like I said I would, and had a grand time! I ended up helping this guy take pictures with his mother and he had me take 7 pics for good luck and then 2 more with him and I. He said that was so he could remember this day for the rest of his life, aww! I also got lost for a bit and found an amazing place that sold some crazy mochi type of food that was so amazingly delicious! I didn’t know what they were saying but whatever I ate was simply bliss!
Without further delay, The Buddha Rap:
I rap a bit quietly because I was close to the Buddha and I didn’t want to interrupt peoples prayers and because I was a bit shy, lol. Regardless, it turned out nice even though many onlookers were starring at me with ridiculous faces! Also, at the end of the Buddha Rap I say, “asuminasai” but I should have said, “oyasuminasai” just fyi.
Anyway, keep it real homeskillets!
