I helped some kids with mental disabilities to develop better motor functions the other day. We weren’t allowed to take pics or vid (completely understandable) so I’ll just tell you about it in the vid. There was this cute little girl who would reach out to you and try to get you to grab her hand. Once she got your hand she’d pull you closer and then try to get you to sit down next to her. Then she’d be happy for a bit. Then she’d find a new target and do it again, lol. My kid was Takumi-kun. He was pretty quiet but I could tell he was very smart. He seemed like he wasn’t paying attention most of the time, but when it came time to do the activity, he’d have no trouble at all.
Anyway, I finally have Tohoku news. I’ll be going up there this coming Monday and Tuesday for the first time. I’ll vlog what I can while I’m there.
Sadly, I’ve been hearing some terrible news about some of the non-profits that are trying to help out. Basically there are a ton of them trying to get here to “help” but all they do is take pics for their websites and then leave. They don’t actually help! How messed up is that! I’ll be documenting our progress as best I can, and hopefully I can catch some of these fakers in the act and get this stopped.
Anyway, this was after we helped the kids:
And then later when I was going home, I saw this:
I hope everyone is doing well. I sure am! Getting my Japanese going, but it is still going to be slow till I get over this initial hump of not understanding most things!
