If we all leave the world better than when we came into it,
The future of humanity is bright!
I’ll leave doing tough but necessary work of saving the planet and backing up humanity to giants like Elon Musk and Al Gore. They can’t, however, get much done without enormous tribes following them and taking action. Not to say their tribes are small, but they are certainly lacking when you look at Earth’s ratios (27 million on Twitter for the two combined).
They have a much wider influence than that you say. Of course they do, so let’s be generous and multiply this single platform by 10. 270 million people is still only a fraction of the planet (less than 4%), and more importantly not necessarily the group that needs to be pushed any harder to make more change in the world than they already do.
More people need to hear the call, and definitely more need to take up the mantle. There simply aren’t enough people currently striving to help out. So many of us are stuck in the daily grind – just trying to get through to the next pay check, to feed ourselves and cloth ourselves, to pay off the next minimum on our crushing debts (which continue to compound on top of us). Most people don’t even realize the futility of simply paying the minimums.
Saving money isn’t hard with the right knowledge and motivators and there are plenty of people doing that – definitely check out the Two Blogs That Changed My Life for more information.
But what happens beyond that? Though a pillar in allowing us humans to feel safe and secure, saving money isn’t how to make the world a better place (though I’m sure many would argue differently, especially those who are more frugal than others). Once you are not longer in the daily grind and over-encumbered by debts, you are free to start making other choices, other changes!
It is here that my efforts are focused. Building up the different pillars that lead to change on a global scale. Helping those with new found knowledge and freedom and enthusiasm to focus their efforts on the all important task of improving the future for the human race.
This can be done through many different lenses which we will discuss as we go and may range from the likes of environmental and economical to mental and even spiritual. There will be something for everyone because education in all areas is vital. Cross pollination of ideals and philosophies is what will guide us all to a better future.
I am not a professor, but I do hope to educate those who can feel it in their bones that something must be done for the future of humanity.
